Aurora drove up to her house and parked her car. It had been a couple weeks since her visit to the jail with Thrax, Ozzy, and Damien and they still hadn't found any trace of Don, or found out anything else. She had checked the surveillance cameras to see if she could find out where they hacked from, but hadn't had any luck.

She turned off her car, got out, and headed for the back of it to get her groceries. She had finished getting Christmas presents for everyone. She had gotten something special for each of them, just like she did every year. She opened the trunk and picked up the bags. She started to head for the door when a sudden chill ran up her spine.

She stopped and looked around to see if she could spot anyone looking at her. She scanned the area and didn't see anyone, then tuned her ears and heard nothing but silence off to her left. She looked and saw someone walking down the walk way to the house that was for sale across the street and noticed a car in the driveway. She had no idea how long he had been there, but felt a little uneasy.

Aurora watched as he walked to the car and stopped. He then turned his head in her direction and stared. It was strange, but something about him felt familiar. It wasn't in a good way, though. She got another chill up her spine as he stared at her, and she stared back, feeling really uneasy.

He smiled as he stared and she politely smiled back, despite the feeling she was getting. She started to head for her door, trying to shake the feeling she had gotten. When she reached her door she put one of the bags down and pulled out her keys. As she put it in she heard footsteps walking towards her, so she quickly turned around. When she did she saw the man walking up her walk way.

He walked up to her, still smiling. "Hi." He extended his hand. "My name's Kai."

Aurora let her keys hang in the keyhole and politely shook his hand, getting another chill as she did. "Hi. I'm Aurora."

"Beautiful name." Kai put his hands in his pockets to keep them warm after they finished shaking. "I hope you don't mind my asking, but what's this neighborhood like? I was thinking about moving into that house I was just at, but I don't know anyone around here. Then I saw you and figured you've probably been in this neighborhood a while and would know a lot about it."

Aurora thought for a moment. "Well, it's nice and peaceful. Though I don't talk much with the neighbors. I'll say hi to them when I see them and they seem like nice people, but I'm afraid that's all I can tell you." She kind of wanted him to go away, but didn't want to be rude.

Kai shrugged. "That's alright." He looked down the street. "I've been looking for a peaceful neighborhood." He then turned his head back to her. "I noticed you have some groceries. Would you like some help with them?"

Aurora shook her head. "No, that's alright. I'm sure you have a lot to do." She finished unlocking her door and went to pick up the bag she had put down.

Kai picked it up before she could. "Actually I don't. Not really anyway. Looking at the house was the last thing on my list for the day. Besides I don't mind helping you with your groceries."

"It's okay, really. You don't have to." She smiled politely. She was feeling really uneasy and wanted him to go.

Kai paused and studied her. "I'm not making you uncomfortable, am I?"

Aurora looked away. "Um.. Well..." She looked back at Kai and nodded. She didn't want to be mean, but he was making her a little uncomfortable. If he pushed it though she wasn't going to hesitate with using a martial arts move or two on him.

Kai smiled and laughed, which made Aurora feel a little confused. "I'm sorry. I have that effect on people sometimes. It goes away once you get to know me. Trust me." He held up the bag. "Let me help. I insist. You do have a lot of groceries, and I don't want to get off on the wrong foot with you."

"Well..." Aurora thought about it. He was making her uncomfortable, but he did seem sincere with what he said. Plus she did have a lot of groceries and it would be nice to get some help, and he was offering. Though she felt like she should listen to the bad feeling she was getting and politely declined. "It's alright. I appreciate the offer, but I can handle it." She smiled. "I've had to deal with this much by myself before. Plus it's getting kind of late, I'm sure you don't want to be heading home in the dark."

Kai put the bag down and shrugged, accepting that she didn't want his help. "Well alright. If you're sure you don't need any help." He put his hands back in his pockets. "I guess I'll see you around, then." He smiled. "I think I've decided I will move into that house." He walked down her walkway and headed for his car across the street.

She watched Kai as he walked across the street and to his car. He stopped, turned around and waved to her, to which she waved back. She watched as he got in his car and drove off. Once he was out of sight, that uneasy feeling that she got went away, and she let out a relieved sigh. Then she continued with bringing in her groceries and put them on the table. The bags that had presents in them she put by the couch for wrapping later. After she got all the groceries in she started to put them away.

Once she was done she went into the hallway, opened the closet, and got the wrapping paper out. Then she went and got a pair of scissors and some tape and headed over to the couch. She sat down and began wrapping everyone's presents. She put a bow on each one after she was done and wrote who it was to.

When she finished, she sat back and looked at her handy-work. They all were neatly wrapped. She picked them up and carried them to her room to hide in her closet. Once she was done. She pulled out her phone and called Enel.

After a couple rings Enel answered. "Hello?"

"Hey, Enel." Aurora went into the living room and sat down on the couch. "I was just checking to make sure you were still coming over to talk about going to the cave."

"Yeah, I was just about to head over." Enel said. "I'll be there in a few seconds." She then hung up. A few seconds later there was a flash of light in Aurora's living room as she appeared in front of her. "Hey."

Aurora smiled. "Hey."

Enel set her staff down. "How are you?"

Aurora shrugged. "I'm good. There was this guy looking at the house across the street that gave me an uneasy feeling though, but he's gone now."

"Want me to cast a spell on him?" Enel gave Aurora a sly smile. "I know a really good one."

"No, that's okay." Aurora laughed as she sat back down. Then Enel sat next to her. "Have the others agreed to take Thrax and me to the cave next month?"

Enel nodded. "Yes. It's all set. I'm so excited that you want to go and see it."

Aurora smiled excitedly. "Yeah, I think it's going to be fun to see what my ancestors hid. I can't wait to go with Thrax."

"Speaking of Thrax," Enel said. "How has he been?"

"He's been good." Aurora replied. "He's a little annoyed that we can't find out anything else about what happened to Don, though. He'll be here later."

"Okay." Enel giggled. "I assume you've already finished your shopping for everyone?"

Aurora nodded. "Yep." She knew what Enel was going to ask next. "And no I'm not telling you what I got." They both laughed. Then her mind went back to Kai, and she frowned.

Enel saw how she was frowning and gave her a concerned look. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's just," Aurora paused. "that guy that was here gave me such an uneasy feeling, and it felt familiar." It felt like when she was at the jail and that guy that helped Don escape was in the bushes staring at her.

Enel put her hand on Aurora's shoulder. "I'm sure it's nothing." She looked at her thoughtfully. "Maybe you're just being paranoid because of everything that's been going on. You could just be a little on edge."

"Maybe." Aurora sighed. "I mean, he did seem nice." But then again, appearances can be deceiving sometimes. She thought about it a little more, but still wasn't sure about Kai.

To be safe Aurora decided to have animals near her house keep watch and let her know if Kai, or anyone else came anywhere near her house. Paranoid or not, she wasn't taking any chances tonight. Not after the feeling he gave her, even if he was being nice. For all she knew he could just be a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Enel grabbed the remote and turned on the T.V. "How about we watch a little T.V.? Maybe that'll help you relax and get your mind off of this guy."

"Alright." Aurora sat back on the couch, hoping that a little T.V. would help her relax.

For a while they flipped through the channels to see what was on, but there didn't seem to be much on at the moment. After a few more channel flips they found one that had Mythbusters on it, so they happily watched that. Aurora loved watching the myths that Adam and Jamie tested.

For the next hour Aurora and Enel watched as Adam and Jamie tested to see if they could survive on an island with nothing but duck tape. It was fun watching as they used the duck tape to make shoes, a hat, an S.O.S. sign, and all sorts of other stuff. Near the end of the episode they made a canoe, using branches for the shape and then put the duck tape on. They watched as it worked perfectly in the water without any problems.

After it was over, Aurora smiled and looked at Enel. "It's pretty cool that they were able to do that."

"Yeah." Enel giggled. "I liked when Adam made the hammocks and chess set."

Aurora nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that was pretty funny."

She turned her head to the door as she heard the sound of a car pulling up into her driveway. She tuned her ears and recognized the footsteps that were walking up to the door as Thrax's. She smiled and stood up as he opened the door and walked in.

She walked around the couch, went up to him, and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. "Hey Thrax."

"Hi, baby." Thrax wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her back. "How was your day?"

"It was good." Aurora paused. "But then it got a little weird when I got home. Any luck finding anything out about what happened to Don?"

"No, I haven't had any luck." Thrax looked at her a little curiously. "What do you mean it got a little weird?"

Enel stood up and walked over to them. "A guy that was looking at the house across the street was giving her bad vibes."

Thrax looked at Enel, still a little confused. "What do ya mean?"

"I'd better explain." Aurora said. Thrax looked at her and waited for her to explain. "I was bringing the groceries in when I got a sudden chill up my spine. I looked around and there was this guy looking at the house that's for sale across the street. He saw me and came over and started talking to me. Asking about the neighborhood and what it was like."

"What's weird about that?" Thrax asked.

"Well, nothing really." Aurora replied. "It's just that... I kept on getting this uneasy feeling from him. I mean, he seemed nice. He even offered to help me with the groceries, but I can't shake that feeling I got from him."

There was silence for a moment before Thrax spoke, giving her a serious look. "Is he still over there?"

Aurora shook her head. "No, he left after I declined his offer to help me with the groceries."

"Do you know where he went?" Thrax looked out the window and at the house across the street.

She shook her head. "No." Then she remembered what Kai said before he left. "But he did say that he decided he was going to move into that house." She frowned and rested her head on Thrax's chest.

"I told Aurora that maybe she's just being a little on edge because of everything that's been going on." Enel said. "I mean, I know if I had to deal with somebody that threatened my life escaping and then having a close encounter with one of the guys that helped him escape, I'd be a little on edge."

Aurora closed her eyes and sighed. "I still don't know if that's it."

Thrax held Aurora close and gently stroked her hair. "Want me to kill him?"

Enel gave Thrax a shocked look. "Thrax!"

"Hey, don't look so shocked." Thrax looked at Enel. "You know I do that."

"Well, yeah but I didn't expect you to ask her if she wanted you to kill him." Enel frowned.

Aurora buried her face in Thrax's chest as she giggled from their little argument. "No, Thrax I don't want you to kill him." Her words came out a little muffled since she still had her face buried.

Thrax chuckled at her muffled words. "Alright, baby."

"If you want I can put a protection spell over your house for tonight." Enel offered.

Aurora looked at her and smiled. "Thanks Enel, but I think I'll be fine without a spell tonight. Let's just see where things go first."

Enel smiled. "Alright, then." She went and picked up her staff. "Well I leave you two alone to the rest of your night." She looked at Aurora. "We're still training tomorrow afternoon, right?"

She smiled and nodded. "Of course."

"And Lilly's helping, too?" Enel asked.

"Yep." Aurora replied.

"Just checking." Enel waved goodbye. "See you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow." Aurora waved back and then Enel made a bright light appear from the stone on her staff, and then she was gone.

Thrax looked at Aurora. "More practicing your powers?"

Aurora looked up at him and nodded. "Yeah. This time I'm going against both Lilly and Enel." Lilly had asked if she could help next time she practiced, so she said yes. She appreciated it that she wanted to help. She figured it would also help her for if she ever had to fight multiple people.

"Alright. Let me know how it goes." Thrax turned his attention to the couch and saw the wrapping paper laying next to it and grinned. "Were you wrapping presents?"

"I was earlier." Aurora went over and picked up the wrapping paper and went to put it away. "I finished a few minutes before Enel came over."

"So what did you get me?" Thrax followed her down the hallway.

Aurora giggled and and put the wrapping paper back in the hallway closet. "I'm not telling you."

Thrax folded his arms and leaned against the wall, giving her a playful look. "What if I told you what I got you? Would you tell me then?"

Aurora put her hands on her hips and raised her brow at Thrax. Then she smiled and shook her head. "Nope." She turned around and headed for her room.

He chuckled and fake pouted, then gave Aurora a sly smile and snapped his claws. "Dang it." Then he followed her to her room.

Aurora giggled and went to close the curtains to her window since it had gotten pretty dark. As she did she looked out the window and stared at the house across the street and started thinking about the feeling she got from Kai. Frowning, she sighed and closed the curtains. She wasn't sure how to feel with him moving in across the street. She just hoped the bad feeling he gave her would go away.

"I know that sigh." Thrax walked over to Aurora. "It's that guy, isn't it?"

Aurora nodded. "It's just... I can't shake the feeling that he gave me. And he's going to be moving into that house."

Thrax put his hands on Aurora's shoulders. "That was a really bad feeling he gave you, wasn't it?"

"Not just bad," Aurora turned around to look at him. "He felt familiar. But I've never seen him before." So why did he feel familiar?

"If you want when he comes back I could have a little "talk" with him." Thrax offered.

She giggled and shook her head. "No, it's alright." She kissed his cheek. "I appreciate it though. I just wish I could stop thinking about it right now." She was starting to get a nagging feeling along with the bad feeling Kai had given her. She'd never seen him before, yet it felt like she had.

Thrax grinned and put his claw under her chin, holding it in place. "I think I can help with that." He gently pressed his lips against hers and wrapped one arm around her waist as he pulled her close.

Aurora pressed her hands against his chest and kissed him back. Slowly, she slid them up and around his neck as he snaked his other hand to the back of her head and pulled her even closer. She felt him slowly walk backwards and she walked with him until he stopped at her bed and they sat down on it. He began kissing her neck, giving it teasing bites and licks. She bit her lip, trying to hold back a moan.

Thrax lit his claw and slowly trailed the flat end up and down her back, making her let go of it. He kissed her cheek and then leaned in and whispered in her ear, making it tickle. "What was it that was bothering you? I forgot." He kissed the tip of her ear, which tickled a little.

Aurora giggled and tried to think of what it was that had been bothering her. "Umm.... It was... Um..." She couldn't remember. She rested her head on his chest and laughed. "You made me forget."

Thrax chuckled and purred. "Told you I could help." He then kissed the top of her head.

She looked up at him as she smiled and kissed him. "Thanks, Thrax."

"You're welcome, baby." Thrax said softly and kissed Aurora back. Then he lit his claw again and gently rubbed her cheek with the flat end.

Aurora closed her eyes and sighed. "That feels nice." It felt really relaxing when Thrax did that.

Thrax grinned as he trailed his claw down Aurora's arm and to her waist, then wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer. He pressed his lips against hers and slipped his tongue passed them. As he did, she felt herself completely lose her senses and moaned. They fell back on her bed and moved to where she was on her back and he hovered over her.

Thrax had both arms around Aurora now as he held her close. She moved her hands to his back and balled up some of his trench coat in her fists as she kissed him passionately. He groaned and pressed her against him as it slowly got more heated.

Even though Aurora couldn't remember what was bothering her, she knew she'd remember what it was later. She didn't care, though. Not at the moment. She wanted to enjoy this moment with Thrax and the sweet sensations she got from it.

~~~~~~~
Thrax woke up, to the sound of something outside. He turned his head to look at the clock in Aurora's room. It was 12:30 a.m. He rubbed his eyes and saw that she was still fast asleep in his arms. He smiled and closed his eyes to head back to sleep, then opened them when he heard a noise outside again. He would have just ignored it, but it sounded like it was right outside the window.
He quietly got out of bed, careful not to wake Aurora up, and pulled the blanket back over her. She let out a little sigh as he did and he smiled, then brushed back a strand of hair that had fallen in her face. He then went and put his robe and boots on and left the room. He quietly made his way to the living room and to the front door and walked outside.
He closed the door behind him and walked over to the window, but didn't see anything. He looked around to try and see if he could spot anything. There was nothing in sight. There were a few animals here and there, but that was it. He shrugged and was about to head in when he heard a noise come from the side of the house. He quickly ran to see what is was, only to find nothing there.
He looked around suspiciously and walked to the back of Aurora's house. He looked around the backyard and there didn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary. He decided to head all the way around back as he went back to the front just to be safe. He lit his claw as he went on the other side of the house, ready to strike first and ask questions later.
Thrax went all the way back to the front and still didn't see anything. Then out of the corner of his eye he thought he saw a shadowy figure running off. He looked at the street and saw something quickly disappear, but he couldn't make out what it was.
"Hmmm." Thrax stared for a few minutes to see if whatever it was would pop up again, but it didn't. He shrugged, figuring it was probably an animal or something, and headed back to the front door, feeling really tired. He really didn't like being woken up in the middle of the night. He went inside and closed the door behind him, then quietly made his way back to Aurora's room.
He walked in and saw that she was still fast asleep. He smiled and closed the door as he took his boots and robe off. He heard her stir and stopped what he was doing as he looked at her.
Aurora opened her eyes slightly and looked at him. "Thrax?" She sat up and yawned. "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, baby, everything's fine." Thrax replied. "I just heard a noise outside and went to check it out. That's all." He finished taking his robe off and went and got underneath the blanket.
"What was it?" Aurora asked as she looked at Thrax.
Thrax grinned and stared into her tired eyes. "I think it was just an animal or something. I didn't really see what it was that ran off." At least he hoped it was just an animal that was hanging around outside of her house like the others were. If someone was snooping around her house though, he was going go to get rid of them quick.
Aurora thought for a moment. "Do you think it was one of those guys that helped Don escape?"
Thrax shook his head. "Nah. I don't think it was. How would they know were you and I are?" But if any of those guys did come around there, he was going to make them wish they hadn't. He leaned over and kissed her forehead. "Go back to sleep."
Aurora smiled and let her head fall back onto the pillow. "Okay."
Thrax chuckled as he wrapped his arm around Aurora and pulled her close. "Goodnight, baby."
"Goodnight, Thrax." Aurora kissed his cheek and rested her head on his chest. "Sweet dreams."
"Sweet dreams." Thrax laid his head on the pillow and held Aurora close as they drifted off to sleep.
